Call for Entry: SX-70 Anniversary Issue

UPDATE: Production of the magazine has been delayed and will publish in August 2022.

A few years ago I posted a Call for Entry—accepting submissions from the community to share their work with the community and to be published in the print edition of the Polagraphic Magazine. Between now and then I've been unable to produce the magazine due to various circumstances.

This year I've set a goal to be more active on Polagraphic, and given that this April will be the 50th Anniversary of the SX-70 I thought it would be unique to publish the first issue of Polagraphic Magazine this year and honour the invention.

With this first issue I'd love to feature the incredible work that has been created with the SX-70 over the years, and showcase some of the unique details inside the camera that makes it such a significant piece of technology history.

If you're interested in sharing your SX-70 works and stories, I encourage you to submit using the guide below.

I'll be sharing updates on the magazine as it progresses, pre-orders for the first issue will begin late-March and begin shipping in April.

*Current magazine cover is placeholder only.

About Polagraphic

Polagraphic is a bi-annual magazine driven by the community with the goal of sharing knowledge and bringing us together around analog photography. Featuring colour and B&W instant photography, submissions are curated and published from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

I want to see the work created by the individuals who share our love for instant film. Submissions are open internationally, no submission fee required.

You may submit no more than 30 photographs or 1-2 series of works, a brief description of each is recommended.  For this special SX-70 issue, only images taken with an SX-70 variant will be accepted (Model 1, Model 2, Model 3, MiNT, 600 conversions, etc).

If you submitted in past call for entries and your photos still qualify, there is no need to submit those images again. These submissions are still eligible and will be considered for the issue.
